It’s refreshing to see a film by Judd Apatow that isn’t stuck in the Hollywood-Rome-com mould, instead of painting a brutally honest portrait of today’s relationships. The show becomes increasingly more of a dramedy as it progresses, which adds interesting depths and upsets the emotional budgets of the protagonists and the audience alike. “Love’s” many guises cause it to pause between craziness and sanity.

5. Easy (2016-2019):

There are a variety of characters in Chicago. They are entangled in a maze of modern love and sex, technology, and culture in this anthology series, including Orlando Bloom, Jake Johnson, Dave Franco, and Emily Ratajkowski (each episode tells a new, independent storey). This anthology series’ concept is eerily similar to Amazon Prime’s “Modern Love,” an anthology of short stories. However, after bingeing the series, one thing is clear: love isn’t easy.

4. The Vampire Diaries (2009-2017):

Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) lost both of her parents in a car accident when she was just a teenager. She lives in Mystic Falls, a small town, and keeps a diary of everything that happens or doesn’t happen. Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) is a new classmate of hers, and the two of them immediately feel attracted to each other.

Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) is Stefan’s older brother, and he’s also interested in Elena. This complicates the love triangle, even more, when Elena discovers that the Salvatore brothers are vampires. Elena is suddenly a part of a gloomy world she had no idea existed.

3. Sex Education (since 2019):

Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield) is an introverted college student who lives with his overly open-hearted mother and sex therapist Jean in this wonderfully refreshing and casual British dramedy (divine as always: Gillian Anderson). At the beginning of the series, Otis and his girlfriend Maeve (Emma Mackey) offer sex therapy at their school to monetize Otis’ intuitive talent for sexual issues. On the other hand, Otis is a late bloomer who has yet to engage in any sexual activity. Then he begins to discover his sexuality and feelings for Maeve as a “sex coach.”

2. Lovesick (2014-2018):

Another British series that takes a lighthearted look at love. He found one thing above all else in his quest for great love: chlamydia. The STD has forced Dylan to contact all of his previous sex partners, so this is what he has to do. As the storey progresses, flashbacks reveal Dylan’s relationship with each of the women. When Dylan first moves in with his new roommate Eve (Antonia Thomas). He’s already fallen in love but can’t tell her because she’s engaged.

1. Chesapeake Shores (since 2016):

It’s been a long time since Abby O’Brien (Megan Ory) has returned to the sleepy town in Maryland where she grew up. This includes dealing with not only the difficulties she’s had with her family but also the fact that Trace Riley (Jesse Metcalfe from ‘Desperate Housewives’) is her first love. What will happen to Abby and Trace’s relationship?

Astonishingly, the actors’ performances and the romantic chemistry between Ory and Metcalfe make our hearts, which are longing for love, dance happily.
